This famous painting print by Gustav Klimt has been remastered and digitally enhanced to make a great art print that stands out on any wall. The Kiss is Klimt's most popular piece of work and visitors flock every year to see it in Vienna's Austrian Gallery where it is housed. Klimt gained initial inspiration for this painting in 1903 on a trip to Ravenna to see the Byzantine mosaics.
The Kiss portrays an embracing couple Kneeling in a verdant fix of wildflowers. Clad in a printed robe and with a crown of plants on his head, the man supports the lady's face as he inclines in to kiss her and as she folds her arms over her accomplice's neck, her eyes are calmly shut, emphasizing the quietness and closeness of the scene.
